Easthampton, MA – Donald W. Torrey, 77, of School Street, Easthampton, passed away peacefully on December 27th.
Born December 1, 1948, Donald worked for many years as an Environmental Engineer, serving both the Easthampton School System and Westfield Public Schools, and later owned and operated Yankee Services. He took pride in his work and will be remembered for his dedication and steady presence.
Donald was a proud longtime member of the Pascommuck Club in Easthampton. His friends and community were a central part of his life. His days often began with his familiar daily breakfast at the Silver Spoon, a routine he cherished and often ended the days with dinner in town with his partner Karen. Donald was an avid golfer, a history buff, and lover of scuba diving, travel, and adventure. He especially enjoyed adventures shared with Karen and his closest friends. He valued experiences, time spent with those he cared about most, his coffee, and good antiques. Donald was a constant in many people’s lives and his reliability, generosity, and humor will be greatly missed.
