No. 1 UMass Lowell hockey downs Minutemen 5-2

After missing the final 23 games of last season due to an injury, it took just two games for redshirt junior Troy Power to net his first goal since returning to the University of Massachusetts hockey team.

Power and Branden Gracel each scored once for the Minutemen, who lost to No. 1 UMass Lowell 5-2 on the road Saturday night.

Power’s last goal came on Nov. 9, 2012 against Providence.

Colin Shea and Adam Phillip each had assists for a second straight night for UMass (0-2, 0-2 Hockey East).

Steve Mastalerz registered 29 saves in net for the Minutemen.
