Elizabeth Warren Senate campaign opens Northampton office Saturday

NORTHAMPTON - Supporters of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren will christen a new campaign office on Strong Avenue here with a grand opening ceremony today.

The office will serve as a organizing hub for the Warren campaign, said Elizabeth Silver, who is coordinating the campaign's local efforts.

"This race is critical to Massachusetts and to the country," Silver said. "I hope local supporters of Elizabeth Warren will stop by and check out the many ways they can get involved and help out in the campaign."

The event runs from 3 to 5 p.m. today and will feature U.S. Reps. James McGovern, Richard Neal and John Olver, as well as live music and food from local restaurants, Silver said.

The office, at 30 Strong Ave, will be open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 pm.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The office's phone number is 588-6063.

Warren, a consumer advocate and Harvard Law School professor, is running against Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown. Brown's campaign operates a western Massachusetts field office in Longmeadow. It can be reached at (413) 224-1850.
