Lynne Knudsen: Offers an alternative to commercial TV
To the editor:
I have seen so many writers complain about the high cost of cable and I want to let you know that there is a viable alternative to the cost and the junk that is on most commercial TV.
There is a little white square, looking somewhat like an iPad, called the Digital Antenna, made by RCA, that is sold at the stores in Hadley, that will bring you perfect reception to all four of the PBS channels in our area, plus a few other channels that you may be interested in. I paid $39.95 for mine and they are now on sale for $29.95.
One channel that no one with cable seems to get is available, called the World Channel, which is worth it’s weight in gold.
I hope you will choose to free yourself from cable and see award-winning international programs that you have not been able to ever see before.
I have no financial interest in this at all; only the wish to share this little-known knowledge.
