Proud of way Lombardi handled student pledge

To the editor:

I just want to say I was appalled at Superintendent Brian Salzer giving Vice Principal Bryan Lombardi a hard time in regards to his decision about having the kids of Northampton High School write a pledge without the parents’ consent.

I think anyone in their right mind would agree that what has happened in our children’s schools needs to be addressed and in my opinion that is exactly what Lombardi did. I have two kids at the high school and I am proud of the way Bryan handled it. I want to thank him for using common sense instead of local politics to keep our kids safe and hope he keeps up the good work.
