Praise for crews that fixed Amherst rail trail bridge

To the editor:

Kudos to the company and design team that replaced the Snell Street bridge on the Norwottuck Rail Trail in Amherst. First-rate job — treated lumber, a rustic look, well-constructed.

I foresee the knee-high ledges on either side becoming a spot to take a rest, meet friends, or just watch the world go by. And they even raised the bridge about a foot, making it a bit easier for truck traffic. Well done, all the way round.

Now, about that glass in the present macadam ....
