Breanne Moreau and Natalie Caney each scored on second-half breakaways as the Belchertown girls soccer team pulled away from Hampshire Regional for a 2-0 win in Westhampton Wednesday.

Caney’s goal came late with the Raiders pushing for the equalizer.

Brittany Moreau had one assist and Sarah LaClair made six saves for the Orioles (12-0-2).

Brianna Weltlich made 10 saves, while Kayla Lebrecque added three for Hampshire (6-6-3), which needs three points over its final three games to qualify.

Holyoke Catholic 2, Hopkins Academy 0 — Lexi Neffinger and Gillian Cassidy-Payson (assist) each scored, and Alexis Carrington added one assist as the Gaels (7-6-2, 1-4-2 Pioneer) pulled away in the second half.

Katie Klejna made seven saves for Catholic, which needs two points to qualify for the tournament.

Amanda Olson made five saves and Katie Keegan played well defensively for the Golden Hawks (6-7-2, 1-4-2), who need four points over their final three games to qualify for the postseason.

Granby 1, Gateway Regional 0 — Rachel Mick scored from Kiley Baran with 40 seconds left in the first half as the Rams (13-0-1, 6-0-1 Pioneer) clinched at least a share of the league title with the win at home.

Brittany Hauschild made five saves in the shutout for Granby, which can win the championship outright with a win over Easthampton Friday.

Sarah Otterbeck and Brooke Fairman combined for six saves for the Gators (7-4-1, 4-3-0).

Smith Academy 6, Turners Falls 1 — Cassidy Snyder scored three goals, while Ali Fitzgerald (assist), Hannah Sassi and Netta Williams each had one as the Falcons (13-2-0, 9-0-0 Franklin) rolled in Hatfield.

Hannah Rickert had two assists, while Olivia Hanson, Kory Wagner and Mia Ellis each had one.

Brooke Pashek (two saves), Wagner (one) and Mollie Higgins (two) split time in goal.

Easthampton 4, Ware 1 — The Eagles jumped ahead 3-1 and cruised past the Indians at home to clinch a spot in the postseason.

Molly Cabana had two goals, Claire Douglass had two assists and Abby Edgin had one of each for the Eagles (8-3-1, 4-1-1 Pioneer).

Sydney Robinson had the other goal and Rachel Connell had the other assist in front of Alyssa Fugiel (four saves).

Field hockey

South Hadley 2, Palmer 1 — Merry Kocot tied the game late in the first half, then assisted the game-winning tally by Emily Florence late in the second as the Tigers (5-7-2) won at home.

Kocot scored with 1 minute, 15 seconds left in the first half. Florence scored with 1:46 left in the game.

Liz Menard made nine saves in the win.

Northampton 3, Southwick 0 — Reilly Griffin, Missie Maiewski (assist) and Olivia Cotton (assist) each scored as the Blue Devils (10-1-3) cruised at home.

Mary Greco made one saves for her seventh shutout.

Frontier Regional 1, Greenfield 0 — Rose Moscaritolo found the back of the net with 2:27 left in regulation as the Red Hawks (11-2-1, 6-0 North) emerged with the road victory.

Jordan Rowe picked up an assist on the goal, while Gwen Thayer made four saves for the shutout.

Girls volleyball

Frontier Regional 3, Turners Falls 0 — The Red Hawks (14-1, 6-0 Northern) won easily at home by game scores of 25-5, 25-9, 25-9.

Emma Contois served to start the match and ran off 17 consecutive service points. She finished with 10 aces and eight assists.

Julia Wan had four kills and four aces, while Cassidy Stankowski added 10 kills for Frontier.

Longmeadow 3, Amherst Regional 0 — Despite some long rallies and a close third game, the Hurricanes fells to the Lancers on the road, 25-15, 25-11, 25-22.

Amherst (8-6, 1-4 Eastern) still needs one win in its final three games to clinch a postseason berth.

Athena Donta had 10 digs and three kills for Amherst. Ali Ziomek added six kills while Gracie Frank had 13 assists and four digs.
