Here's what is open and closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day


The following is a list of what is open and closed today, Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

Open: Convenience stores, retail stores, supermarkets, taverns/bars, liquor stores.

Closed: Banks, district courts, state and municipal offices, post offices, libraries and schools.

PVTA: Blue 43 will operate the “no-school” schedule. Red 44 will operate the Sunday schedule. No service for Route 39E, M40, Red 41, Red 42 and Blue 48. For other Northampton/Amherst routes, verify operation on the UMass transit schedules.

The Gazette will publish, and the newspaper’s offices will be open.
