Ami Pelletier: Councilor Adams backed public comment periods

To the editor:

Every community needs a resourceful, innovative and open-minded City Council that listens to concerns of its residents. In the Nov. 5 election I give my support to Jesse Adams, who has been an independent voice that has shown commitment to improving our local economy, infrastructure, education and government.

Jesse has demonstrated his respect for the voices of our community and his support for open, accessible government by drafting an ordinance that requires every decision-making body to have an open public comment period at the beginning of each meeting. This is important to me as an active member in the community.

Jesse has worked hard to be responsive to his constituents and is a strong advocate for the whole city. In the past two years there have been some very important issues that have had major impacts on the future of our community and I believe he has handled them very effectively while showing strong leadership.

Please join me in giving one of your two votes for councilor at large to Jesse Adams Nov. 5.

Ami Pelletier
