Polish league offers college scholarships to area students

POLISH HERITAGE SCHOLARSHIPS: The Polish Junior League of Massachusetts is offering college scholarships to students of Polish heritage who are residents of Hampshire, Franklin, Berkshire or Hampden counties.

Selection is based on financial need and academic achievement. In addition to scholarships for students in their sophomore year or higher who are enrolled at two- or four-year colleges, the league also awards one scholarship to a female graduate or non-traditional student. The latter is defined as a student returning as an undergraduate to an accredited higher education institution.

Students who have previously received scholarships from the league are not eligible to apply.

Applications are available online at polishjuniorleaguema.org or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a written request to: PJL Scholarship Chairperson, 20 Bridge Road, Unit 40, Florence, MA 01062.
