HOLYOKE — Despite two first-place finishes by sophomore Taj-Amir Torres, the Amherst Regional boys track and field team could not quite catch Chicopee Comprehensive for the District F & G Division 1 championship Saturday. The Hurricanes held a six-point lead going into the final two events which the Colts overcame to take the title 130-123. “We did good” despite the loss, said Amherst sprinting coach David Thompson. “We did a good job keeping up and it was a great day overall.” Torres bolted to wins in the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of 10.92 and 21.98 seconds, respectively. “It was fun,” Torres said. “It’s … 0
