Sophomore Charlie Ferrera tossed a complete-game two-hitter as the Northampton baseball team beat Chicopee 2-1 at home Monday.

Ferrera threw just 80 pitches in the win. He struck out one and walked two for the Blue Devils (3-1).

Jefferson Willis singled home Zack Goodwin-Boyd (single) for the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth. In the first, Ben Christopher knocked home Jay Wright (walk) with a single.

East Longmeadow 7, South Hadley 4 — Pat Sears had three hits and an RBI, but the Tigers (0-4) lost at home.

The Spartans (4-0) broke a 3-3 tie with four runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Nate Flachs (one run scored) and Joe Ciolek had two hits each, while Mike Paleologopoulos (two runs) and Pedro Santiago (one run) added one hit each.

Pioneer Regional 6, Holyoke Catholic 2 — Jeff Laprade allowed just two earned runs over 62∕3 innings in the loss for the Gaels (0-2) at home.
