TD Bank branch robbed again at gunpoint in Greenfield
GREENFIELD — For the second time in two weeks, a TD Bank branch was robbed at gunpoint Sunday.
Greenfield police said a masked and armed robber entered the branch at Main and Federal streets about 2:45 p.m., pointed a black handgun at a teller and fled with an unspecified amount of money.
Police Sgt. David Rice said the suspect appears to be a white male who was wearing a gray sweatshirt or hoodie, a black mask and gloves.
Sunday’s robbery occurred two weeks after a masked person entered the same bank on Feb. 17 with a gun that police said appeared to be a black, semiautomatic pistol. The suspect in that incident was described as a white male, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and wearing dark clothing, including a black ski mask and sunglasses. The robber in the Feb. 17 incident also left with an undisclosed amount of money.
The TD Bank branch keeps Sunday hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both robberies remain under investigation.
