Easthampton

PTO DANCE: The Easthampton PTO will hold a dance at the Pulaski Club on Maple Street on Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $7 each, or $5 in advance. For advance tickets email Jenn at jtherrien75@charter.net.

Hatfield

TAX CLASSIFICATION HEARING: Selectmen and assessors will hold a tax classification hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. in the Council on Aging office at Town Hall, 59 Main St.

After a public hearing selectmen must determine the allocation of the tax levy for various property classes, whether to make a tax burden shift from the open space class to the residential class, whether to grant a residential exemption of up to 10 percent of the average value of all owner-occupied properties, and whether to grant a commercial exemption of up to 10 percent to certain small commercial properties.

The date of the hearing was incorrect in Wednesday’s Gazette.

Northampton

FUNDRAISER FOR VETS: Homeward Vets Inc. will hold a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser Nov. 4 to help raise money for the purchase of new beds. Dinner, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the The World War II Club at 50 Conz St., will include pasta with marinara or meat sauce, salad, garlic bread and a drink. A cash bar will be available. There will also be raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle. There is a suggested donation of $7 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12 years old. Children under 5 eat free. South Hadley, Granby

MOHEGAN SUN FUNDRAISER: The South Hadley and Granby Chamber is sponsoring a trip to Mohegan Sun on Nov. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For $25 each, participants will receive transportation from and to South Hadley High School, plus a $15 voucher toward food at one of the Mohegan Sun restaurants and $15 in free bets on the Big 6 Wheel. Proceeds will benefit scholarships to South Hadley and Granby high school seniors, and both communities’ councils on aging. Payment is due at the time of reservation; checks should be made payable to the South Hadley & Granby Chamber of Commerce. The public is welcome.

Westhampton

CPA TALK: Westhampton’s Open Space Committee will host an informational meeting, open to all residents, Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Westhampton Town Hall. Residents can learn more about the Community Preservation Act and Question 5 on the upcoming ballot.
