Florence

CONCERT SERIES: The Florence Music on the Porch Series kicks off Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with a free opening night concert by the Florence Community Band and the Green Street Brew. Listeners can bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnics. It will be held at the Florence VFW in case of rain. The series features free live music every Thursday in the summer from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Easthampton

NEW POLL LOCATION: When voters head to the polls to vote in Tuesday’s Special State Election, those in districts 3 and 4 will be voting in the new Easthampton High School at 70 Williston Ave. for the first time.

Residents should park in the parking lot and walk around the old high school, which is in mid-demolition, to reach the new building. The entrance to the gymnasium where voting will take place is directly off of the school’s front plaza.

Voters should not enter through the main school doors or park along the school’s sidewalk, which is a fire lane.

Residents from districts 1, 2 and 5 will vote at White Brook Middle School at 200 Park St. as usual.

Williamsburg

SUMMER FOR KIDS: The Hampshire Regional School District’s Coordinated Family and Community Engagement program is hosting a children’s summer celebration at 10 a.m. June 29 at the Helen E. James school playground. The event, open to all area children, will include a story walk, live tropical butterflies from Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory, snacks and free books. In case of rain, the program will be held inside the school.
