Easthampton

LIGHTS, SANTA, ACTION!: The Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Holiday Stroll and visit from Santa Nov. 30. The stroll will begin at 7 p.m.from Maple Street School, led by Greater Easthampton’s 2013 Distinguished Young Woman, Rachel Connell. Marchers will stroll down Cottage Street and proceed up Union Street and onto Main Street to Pulaski Park. There will be hot chocolate, cookies, Christmas carols, Santa’s arrival and the lighting of the gazebo and Pulaski Park trees.

Granby

LIGHTS FOR THE LIBRARY: The Granby Library is holding a fundraiser to help furnish the new library. Each $5 donation will illuminate a light on the Granby Library Holiday Tree. Each donor will receive a “Light up the Library” bookmark to present to the honoree or an “In Memory Of” letter. The lights will be lit on the tree as donations are made, beginning after Thanksgiving through Dec. 28. The name of each person recognized through the purchase of any light will be displayed on a scroll hung in library. People may also purchase a specific item from the library’s furnishing wish list. A letter of dedication will be sent to the recipient for this honor. Donation forms are now available at the library. For more information call the library at 467-3320.

Northampton

CHRISTMAS CONCERT: Lisa Woods and Jerry Noble will present a benefit concert at St. Valentine’s Church, 127 King St., on Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Lisa will sing everything from “O Holy Night” and “The Little Drummer Boy” to “Silver Bells” and “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.” There is a suggested donation of $10. All are welcome.

South Hadley

SPIRITS AND THE PARANORMAL: The South Hadley Public Library will host “A Night with the Spirits with Rick” Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.. Spirit medium/psychic Rick will give a talk about the paranormal, talk about some of his books and some spirits may come through to talk with their loved ones. This program is free and open to the public. The South Hadley Public Library is located at 27 Bardwell St. For more information call 538-5045.

EARLY CLOSING: The South Hadley Town Hall will close Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. for Records Management Day. The purpose of the closure is to allow town employees to dispose of outdated records. For more information call 538-5017.
