For the week ending Jan. 18, the sale of a Belchertown home was the highest recorded property transaction in Hampshire and Franklin counties, followed by sales of homes in Southampton and Deerfield.

Angelina and Donny Fragoso sold a ranch/rambler style house at 101 Pine St. in Belchertown for $405,000 to Christopher John Cracknell and Renee K. Walsh of Agawam. Built in 2005 and located near Hillcrest Cemetery, it has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,492 square feet of living space. It sits on a 1.18-acre lot and also features an attached three-car garage. The property is assessed at $365,000.

The second-highest sale, for $380,000, took place in Southampton. Andrew J. Himmen and Roberta Krause sold a house at 75 Pequot Road to Petra Lackner of South Deerfield. It has a log cabin-style exterior and was advertised as a “one-of-a-kind home” built by a family of artisans, according to a posting on the real estate website zillow.com. The 2,500-square-foot house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with an open floor plan and high ceilings, according to published real estate reports. The property also features a detached 1,500-square-foot four-car garage and workshop. It was last assessed at $361,800.

The third-highest property transaction involved the $364,500 sale of a single-family house in Deerfield. Jon W. and Erika Ross of Los Angeles, Calif., acquired the home at 22 Greenough Crossing along with property on Wapping Road and Old Steam Mill Road from Robert B. Solosko and Jean B. Krogh. Built in 1934, the approximately 2,020-square-foot home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and is situated on 4.72 acres. The property’s assessed value is $284,800, according to town records.
