Tuesday’s swimming: Amherst, Northampton split

Rivals Amherst Regional and Northampton met in the pool Tuesday and split at Amherst Regional Middle School.

The Northampton girls cruised to a 130-50 victory. The Amherst boys won a closer meet, 102-70 over the Blue Devils.

Maela Whitcomb led Hamp with victories in the 200 freestyle 100 butterfly. She was also apart of the winning 200 free relay with Stephanie Jordan, Kerry Fleming and Erin Voss.

Marc Klepacki and Ciaran Dillon-Davidson each won two events for the Amherst boys.

Klepacki won the 50 fee and 100 fly. Dillon-Davidson won the 200 individual medley and 500 free. Both teammed with Alan Tang and Eric Chen to win the 200 medley relay.
