scientist joins Stantec

An environmental scientist with more than 20 years’ experience, Cameron is an expert on the natural resources impacts of electric generation and transmission projects.

With Stantec, Cameron will serve as a senior project manager on environmental permitting projects across New England and help support the firm’s power projects across the country.

Stantec employs 10 environmental scientists and engineers in its Northampton office and has more than 120 employees across Massachusetts.

The firm provides professional consulting services in planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management and project economics.

Self-employment seminar offered

The course covers self-promotion, connecting with an ideal audience and charging what you’re worth.

“I help people who want to share something meaningful with the world, but who may feel challenged with the business and marketing side,” Nelson said.

Katsanos joins
credit union

Katsanos has 18 years of human resources experience in industries including health care and manufacturing. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has master’s degrees in psychology and business administration. She holds an SPHR designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Chartered in 1922, Freedom Credit Union has a staff of 110 employees at nine branches in Easthampton, Northampton and communities in Hampden and Franklin counties.

Phaneuf wins
franchisee award

Phaneuf opened a Fitness Together location in Amherst in 2008 and purchased a studio in Northampton in 2010. The two studios employ 12 certified fitness coaches with experience in weight loss, injury prevention and rehabilitation, strength training and nutrition counseling.

Fitness Together has 50 locations in Massachusetts.

Three recognized for college publication

The publication earned a Gold Award in the print communications category from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

Saunders is the college’s art director and project manager.
