Music at UMass
A faculty violin recital will be presented Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. in Bazanson Recital Hall at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Elizabeth Chang will perform with guest pianist Judith Gordon. On the program: musical works by J.S. Bach, Stefan Wolpe and George Enescu.
∎ On Jan. 24 at 8 p.m., pianist Christopher Guzman will perform, also in Bezanson Recital Hall.
On the program: Beethoven’s Sonata in E Major, Op. 109; Stucky’s “Three Little Variations for David”; and Grieg’s Ballade in the form of Variations on a Norwegian Melody, Op. 24.
A masterclass with UMass student pianists will follow the concert.
