Easthampton police investigating theft from campers staying at Williston Northampton School
EASTHAMPTON — Police have no suspects in the reported theft of thousands of dollars worth of cash, electronics and other items from campers staying in a Williston Northampton School dormitory.
Police Sgt. Bruce Nicol said police received a report July 11 at 10:41 p.m. that someone had gone through 30 to 40 rooms in Memorial Dormitory at 8 Payson Ave. and taken just over $500 in cash as well as iPads, wallets and other items. Nicol estimated the missing items’ total value is between $2,000 and $5,000.
The private school is not in session but campers participating in World Sports Camp on campus were staying in the dormitory.
