Tractor-trailer kills cyclist in Brighton near Boston University
BOSTON (AP) — Police say a cyclist has been struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood.
The cyclist was struck at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and St. Paul Street.
The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional information on the victim was released.
The truck driver remained at the scene and was cooperating. No citations were issued. A section of Commonwealth Avenue was closed during the investigation.
The site of the fatality is near Boston University, but there is no indication the victim was a student.
A BU student riding his bicycle was killed in Allston last month.
