CLOUDS OVER QUABBIN

Windsor Dam, Belchertown

Photograph and text by Anne E. Ely of Amherst

Whenever I see the sky filled with beautiful, white, puffy clouds, I head for the Quabbin Reservoir. This image, taken from the end of Windsor Dam that is farthest from the administration building, is just one of the many beautiful Quabbin scenes that are so much more beautiful at these times. When there is a breeze, the ever-changing shapes of the clouds give new looks to the same scene. This image was created with my tripod-mounted DSLR camera, using a polarizing lens to enhance the sky.

Anne E. Ely is affiliated with the Robert Floyd Photo Gallery, 2 East St., Southampton. Other nature images are on view there Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.
