New banners in downtown Amherst celebrate private colleges and UMass

AMHERST — New banners hung from light posts in downtown Amherst are aimed at reflecting the community’s pride in hosting three institutions of higher learning, said Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Donald Courtemanche.
