No name, few details about man who fell from downtown parking garage Friday night
NORTHAMPTON — Police say they will not release the name of the teenager who fell from the top level of the E. John Gare parking garage Friday night, but did confirm some details.
Northampton Police Capt. Scott A. Savino said the man is a 17-year-old Northampton resident and was listed in critical condition at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield Monday morning.
According to police, a passer-by found the man on the ground in the middle of Brewster Court, near the intersection with Old South Street on the garage’s south side.
The garage is about 40 feet high. At least two people have died as a result of falls from the garage since 2007.
