NORTHAMPTON — Northampton Mayor David Narkewicz and author Archer Mayor will breakfast with the Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday,, a Meet & Eat event at the Delaney House in Holyoke from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tickets are $15 and the public is welcome to attend. To make a reservation, call the Chamber at 584-1900.

Mayor, the well-known mystery writer, will talk about his new book, “Paradise City,” which features a whodunit based in Northampton and Hampshire County. t for hardback fiction.

While researching this area for “Paradise City,” Mayor relied on many local residents (and Chamber members) for tours and access to locations no one can get to (or even knows about). His talk with the Chamber will weave the research into a behind-the-scenes look at the book’s story line. Broadside Bookshop on Main Street will sell signed copies of “Paradise City” at the breakfast.

In addition, Narkewicz will introduce the Chamber to the city’s new economic development director, Terry Masterson, hired in November to work on the mayor’s staff. Masterson moved to Northampton from Cayuga County in New York to start his new position last week. The job will focus on the mayor’s priorities: supporting the local business community while attracting new entrepreneurs and companies, with an eye to expanding the city’s commercial tax base and creating more jobs and economic opportunity for Northampton and the region.
