Katelyn Eileen Huxley and Myles Walter McCarthy of Wilmington, N.C., were married June 3 at the First Congregational Church in Southampton. The Rev. Dee Ledger officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Kathleen Huxley of Easthampton. The bridegroom is the son of Curtis and Marsha McCarthy of Southampton.
Following a reception at The Log Cabin in Holyoke, the couple honeymooned at Disney World in Florida.
Meagan Boruchowski, the bride’s cousin, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Cinde Badach, Margo McCarthy, the bridegroom’s sister, and Heather Quinn.
Trevor Siperek was the best man. The groomsmen were Sean O’Hare, Kevin O’Brien, Andrew Breen and Devin Quinn. The ushers were Chris Huxley, Brett Huxley and Ryan Huxley, the bride’s brothers.
The bride, 22, is a registered nurse at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C. A 2007 graduate of Easthampton High School, she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Worcester State University in 2012.
The groom, 22, is an ensign in the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Wilmington. A 2008 graduate of Hampshire Regional High School in Westhampton, he received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., in 2012.
