Burns Maxey: Praise for those who back Easthampton’s cultural diversity
To the editor:
As Easthampton enters a new chapter with its second mayor, it is imperative our City Council be stronger than ever. There is no doubt that the city of Easthampton has experienced recognition for innovative advancements. Much of this is due to creative revitalization by our community, supported by our local government.
Easthampton is lucky to have a dedicated selection of district councilors. On a citywide level, we have reliable leadership in place with city councilors Joe McCoy and Nathan Ziegler. Both continue to make smart decisions on behalf of our community with the future of Easthampton in mind. Their positive perspectives on cultural development and the rejuvenation of downtown improvements are vital to continue on our strong path. Newcomer Tamara Smith also offers a fresh viewpoint on the creative advancements of our city. Please consider all those who have voiced their support for the arts and cultural diversity in Easthampton when you vote Nov. 5.
