UMass men’s lacrosse drops second straight
The University of Massachusetts men’s lacrosse team finds itself in a spot it hasn’t faced in a while, a losing streak.
The Minutemen were outscored 10-5 in the second half and dropped their second straight game, 15-9 to Albany on the road Tuesday.
Kyle Smith, Grant Whiteway and Conor Mooney each had two goals for UMass (3-2), which was without injured standouts Will Manny and Colin Fleming.
Zach Oliveri made 12 saves for UMass.
Mount Holyoke 11, Westfield State 6 — The Lyons opened up an 8-1 halftime lead and cruised past the Owls in South Hadley.
Molly McDonald led Mount Holyoke (2-0) with five goals and an assist, while Catherine Ryan added a goal and three assists.
