Rollover crash on I-91 sends one to hospital
EASTHAMPTON — A single-car rollover crash Tuesday night sent a teenage female to the hospital with injuries state police described as serious.
According to state police, about 8:25 p.m. a 2002 Kia Rio traveling south on Inerstate 91 just north of Exit 17 near the Easthampton-Holyoke line rolled over onto its roof.
The driver, whose identity was not released due to her being a minor, was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
A 19-year-old male passenger in the car was not injured, according to state police.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by troopers assigned to the Northampton barracks. Slick road conditions due to snowfall Tuesday night were a likely factor, state police said.
