Weekend police news: Northampton

Eric B. Whittle, 25, of Holyoke, was arrested about 1:25 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Pleasant and Pearl streets on a charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a fight in the street.

Joseph Walter Theroux, 23, 5 Walnut St. Northampton, was arrested about 12:08 a.m. Sunday on Pearl Street on charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing, and a civil infraction of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, after officers were informed that Theroux was inside Tully O’Reilly’s Pub, despite having been trespassed from there.

Paul Poklewski, 48, of 81 Conz St., Apt. #219, Northampton, was arrested about 4:39 p.m. Saturday at his home on a warrant issued from Northampton District Court for failure to appear, according to police.

Ronald Phillips, 21, of 41 Ward Ave., Apt. #B, Easthampton, was arrested about 2:57 a.m. Saturday on Walnut Street on charges of larceny from a building and receiving stolen property valued less than $250.

Ramos Satchel, 21, of New Haven, Conn., Alphonse M. Lauro III, 20, of East Haven, Conn., and Nicholas Robert Ferrigno, 21, of North Haven, Conn. were also arrested in the same incident, according to police.

Satchel was arrested on charges of assault and battery, larceny from a building, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a Class B drug, receiving stolen property over $250, receiving stolen property under $250, and unarmed robbery. Lauro was arrested on a charge of larceny from a building. Ferrigno was arrested on charges of larceny from a building, one charge of receiving stolen property over $250, and two charges of receiving stolen property under $250.

Northampton police said the incident was still under investigation and details on the arrests were not available at press time.

Robert E. Dugas Jr., 21, of East Windsor, Conn., was arrested about 1:19 a.m. Saturday on a charge of vandalizing property for allegedly breaking an exterior window of a building on Strong Avenue.

Sarah Lynn Drinkwine, 30, whose address is listed as the streets of Northampton, was arrested about 4:37 p.m. Friday on Main Street on a warrant issued from Northampton District Court for a charge of shoplifting over $100, according to police.

Russell J. Baca, 61, of 66 Laurel Park, Northampton, was arrested about 2:20 p.m. Friday on North King Street on a charge of operating under the influence of liquor (fourth offense) after police responded to the Big Y Supermarket for a report of a vehicle striking other vehicles in the parking lot.
