Williamsburg fair benefits American Cancer Society

The It’s a F.A.C.T (Fighting Against Cancer Together), a relay-for-life team, is sponsoring a Holiday Vendor and Craft Fair today, to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

According to organizer Shannon Wade of Goshen, there will be 15 local crafters at the event as well as four vendors including Tupperware, Avon, Tastefully Simple, a food retailer, and Silpada, jewelry merchants. The fair, at the Williamsburg Grange Hall, is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Along with a variety of crafts, jewelry and home products, there will be a bake sale, popcorn and hot cocoa.

It’s a F.A.C.T. has been competing in the Hampshire County Relay for Life for two years. The fair is the first event of its kind to be sponsored by the 12-member team, which was the top contributor in last year’s Relay for Life, raising roughly $15,000 for the organization.

“We are very proud of that,” Wade said. “We really couldn’t have done it if it were not for Kris Zdaniewicz (of Chesterfield). She is our team leader, and is the glue that holds us all together.”

Money raised from the event will go to support the team.
