Property Briefing: Commercial property in Hadley sells for $3.745 million

For the week ending Oct. 12, the multi-million dollar sale of commercial property in Hadley was the highest recorded property transaction in Hampshire County, followed by sales of a home in Cummington and a condominium in Northampton.
SB Hadley 397, LLC, a holding company based in Frisco, Texas, sold property at 336 Russell St.(Rt. 9) for $3,745,100 to Century Properties XXIII LP. The buyer, or limited partnership is a commercial real estate investment firm based in Wheeling, W.Va. The 1.24-acre property is home to the newly built Firestone auto care center and future Chipolte Mexican Grill restaurant.
The second-highest sale, for $433,000, involved a single-family home at 200 Stage Road in Cummington. Geraldine and Robert B. Berenson of Florence sold the home and 37 acres of land to David R. and Jodee D. Simard of Easthampton. The approximately 3,150-square-foot home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The home features an enclosed front porch and the property is home to a handsome barn and rivulet.
The third-highest sale occured in downtown Northampton where Joanna S. Marolla and Kristen Branch sold a condominium at Old School Commons at 35 Old South St. for $380,000 to Nancy Rhodes McNamara of Middlebury, Conn., according to land records.
