Tina Fey, Amy Poehler to host Golden Globes
LOS ANGELES — NBC funnywomen Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the Golden Globes next year.
The gig will reunite the “SNL” alums. Already familiar with the ceremony with their respective TV shows — Fey is the creator and star of “30 Rock,” which bids farewell this season, and Amy Poehler stars in “Parks and Recreation” — the friends will impart their comic talents as hosts of the movie and television fete. “Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup,” Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming, NBC Entertainment, said.
“Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on ‘SNL’ to their successful co-starring roles in ‘Baby Mama.’”
The 70th annual Golden Globes will take place Jan. 13.
