Warren, Brown launch ads aimed at women voters
BOSTON (AP) — Democratic U.S. Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren and Republican Sen. Scott Brown have launched competing ads fighting over who’s better on women’s issues. Warren’s ad points to Brown’s support of a proposed amendment that would have let employers deny coverage for birth control and his vote against a Democratic bill calling for equal pay in the workplace.
The ad also points to Brown’s opposition to the Supreme Court nomination of Elena Kagan. Brown immediately released his own ad featuring his wife Gail Huff. Huff calls Warren’s ads “untrue” and says Brown is pro-choice, supports women’s health care, and backs good jobs with equal pay.
