Walgreens Pharmacy in Florence robbed
NORTHAMPTON — Police are investigating an unarmed robbery at Walgreens Pharmacy in Florence Wednesday evening.
Lt. Jody Kasper said police responded to the Northampton Medical Center at 70 Main St. at 6:44 p.m. for a call about a man robbing the pharmacy without a weapon.
Kasper said that “something was taken” during the robbery, but she declined to reveal what it was. “It may be relevant to the investigation,” she said.
The man fled on foot and police have not identified a suspect, Kasper said. Witnesses at the scene provided police with a description of the man, but she declined to release it.
No one was injured during the incident.
