Warren sticks up for our working class
To the editor:
I have taken note of how little is being done to remedy the abuses and lax regulation of the banking industry. Sen. Scott Brown has consistently helped to maintain this status quo, as shown by his voting record. He has also consistently voted for policies that widen the gap between rich and poor in this country. Examples include banking deregulation and extending the Bush-era tax hikes for the wealthiest among us.
Elizabeth Warren, in contrast to her opponent, has consistently, articulately and courageously worked to rein in the “banksters,” to advocate for more sensible tax policies and many other ways to speak up for working-class people.
As a small business owner in Massachusetts, I see the choice for senator of Massachusetts as a clear one: Vote for Elizabeth Warren if you would like to uphold the idea that we want to provide opportunity to all, not just to the 1 percent.
