ANOTHER GOOD BET
Smith College president Jill Ker Conway, who was recently awarded a National Humanities Medal, has said she wrote “The Road from Coorain” partly because she was sick and tired of people telling her how much they loved “Crocodile Dundee.” Conway’s memoir about her childhood in the Australian outback was a good read when it was published in 1989 — and if you missed it then, it’s well worth a look now.
