Style Stop: Sarah Shepardson
Sarah Shepardson, 19, of Northampton, was taking a short break from work at The Mercantile when the Style Stop team found her on Main Street in downtown Northampton. Green is her favorite color, but blue was her choice for the day.
Style or Comfort: Depends on how I feel in the morning. Sometimes, I roll out of bed in the morning and go to work in what I’m wearing, if I’m late. I don’t know, I guess a mix of style and comfort.
Favorite piece today: Out of what I’m wearing right now, maybe this shirt. I got it at the Green River Festival — it’s a festival up in Greenfield — from Wormtown Trading Company. They have merchandise that they sell, like little hippie crochet shirts and tops.
Jewelry: I like crystals a lot. I like picking out crystals based on their properties. One I have is Lavenderite. It’s supposed to be protective.
Sandals: I prefer to be barefoot, but when I’m working I have to wear shoes.
Purses: I have a couple different ones. I pick which one to carry with me based on how much stuff I have.
My own style: I guess it’s just kind of my own thing, whatever I like: I like bright colors and beaded things, pretty, flowing things.
