Style Stop: Pippin Bongiovanni
Pippin Bongiovanni, a Hampshire College student from Williamstown, who is spending her summer in Northampton, says she generally chooses her wardrobe based on style rather than comfort — favoring dresses over pants on most days. But when the Stye Stop team saw her last week on Main Street in Northampton, she had donned a pair of high-waisted jeans.
Everyday STYLE: I prefer to dress for style. Unless I’m at school, then I’ll go for comfort.
Patterns vs. solids: Patterns aren’t usually my thing. Stripes, that’s it for patterns, maybe polka dots if I’m feeling adventurous.
Pants: I’m more of a dress person, but I jumped on the high-waist jeans craze with these I guess.
Sunshine: I’ve got to wear prescription sunglasses, so I could only afford the one pair. Black Ray Ban sunglasses go with everything, though.
Accessories: These shoes are definitely not for comfort. I bought them at a thrift store for about $5. The scarf is from Uniqlo in New York City, I think. It’s cheap, which is always good. I’m not much of a bag person either, I only have two.
