On a day when the temperature didn’t climb out of the 20s, Chesterfield resident Oona Snoeyenbos-West stepped out wearing a sweater from Marshall’s, shoes by Pierre Hardy, a Halo hat from Harlow Luggage and sunglasses by Louis Vuitton, proving that it’s possible to be comfy and fashionable, even in the dead of winter.

Her style: I would describe it as equestrian-boho-chic. I have horses — you could say my horses inspire my style. Now everybody and their cat is wearing riding boots.

Where does she shop? I shop mostly at hospice stores and consignment shops.

Who inspires her style? My friend Nan Willow Rose — she used to work at Gucci — and my mother — she always stressed the importance of accessories and shoes. Also, Hermes French, my favorite design house. They started out as saddle makers but now they do everything. They’re famous for their colors of orange and brown, .

Leggings: A must-have comfy, cute and timeless. I wear leggings a lot because it’s easy to put an outfit around them. I was really glad when they came back into fashion — it was like the one fashion statement from the ’80s that I was happy to see some back.

Putting it all together: I just picked the cardigan to go with the color of the shoes. My favorite color is red, but I really like earth tones. I like the hat because it’s warm, but it doesn’t give you hat head because it’s open in the top. It’s not real fur, so it’s animal-happy. I don’t really like to wear real fur.
