Founded by Valley natives, identical twins and award-winning aerialists Elsie Smith and Serenity Smith Forchion, the Brattleboro-based Nimble Arts Troupe is on its way to becoming a world-class circus act. Its latest show, “Ruckus: A Cirque Spectacular,” features a cast of trapezists, jugglers and contortionists whose resumes run from Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Eloize to the Big Apple Circus.

Appearing at the Academy of Music in Northampton Friday, for one show only, the performers will make use a unique aerial rig that enables them to bring their talents to theatrical stages that wouldn’t normally be able to handle high-flying entertainment

7:30 p.m. $18 general; $12 ages under 16. academyofmusictheatre.com, 584-9032
