Three-day Winklepicker Festival this weekend in Ashfield

— The Mardi Gras-themed Winklepicker Festival in Ashfield is continuing this weekend, ending Sunday with a concert featuring American-roots musician Eilen Jewell at the Ashfield Town Hall.

Here’s the lineup:

Saturday, 10:30 a.m.— noon: “Cooking New Orleans,” an annual coooking class with Chef Carlos Neville, upstairs at Elmer’s Store. Tickets are $65 and are available online and in person at the store.

Saturday, 2-3:30 p.m.: Kids Mardi Gras Ball, with music by The Primate Fiasco, Ashfield Town Hall, 412 Main St. Tickets at the door are $5 for children, $10 for adults and $20 for a family of four.

Saturday, 8 p.m.: Grown Folks Mardi Gras Ball with music by Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, with special guests The Primate Fiasco Ashfield Town Hall. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door, available online and in-person at Elmer’s Store, 628-4003.

Saturday, 10 p.m.: The After Party continues at Elmer’s with music by The Primate Fiasco, Elmer’s Store, 396 Main St. Admission free with Mardi Gras Ball ticket.

Sunday, 2:30–4:30 p.m.: An Afternoon with Charles Neville — Charles Neville plays his music and talks about his life as a musician, from the Rabbitsfoot Minstrel show to the Neville Brothers, Ashfield Town Hall, 412 Main St. Tickets are $10; $15 at the door, available online and in person at Elmer’s Store.

Sunday, 8 p.m.: The Grand Finale — Eilen Jewell, with special guests, The Salvation Alley String Band, Ashfield Town Hall. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door, available online and in person at Elmer’s Store.
