Mandy Hixon — Named Atlantic 10 men’s diving coach of the year for sixth time.

Hannah Murphy — Atlantic 10 Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Year. All-American set single-season school and A-10 records for most draws controls.

Ken O’Brien — Longtime track and cross country coach inducted into George “Trigger” Burke Hall of Fame.

Amy Robertson — Interim field hockey coach led team to A-10 championship.

Tajae Sharpe — UMass receiver selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

Zach Hine — South Hadley native was the top American finisher at the Boston Marathon, taking 10th in 2 hours, 21 minutes, 37 seconds.

Michael Hixon — Amherst native won the silver medal with Sam Dorman in synchronized diving at the 2016 Rio Olympics with Sam Dorman.

Miles Montgomery-Butler — Northampton native won mixed national club ultimate championship with Boston-based Slow White.

Brandon Montour — Former UMass hockey player made his NHL debut for Anaheim.

Will Neff — Amherst native won men’s national club ultimate championship with Boston-based Ironside.

Forbasaw Nkamebo — Amherst native surpassed 1,000 career points for Westfield State women’s basketball team. Graduated as Owls’ all-time leading rebounder and first in career games.

Jeremy Powers — Easthampton cyclist won his fourth straight cyclocross national championship.

Adam Rainaud — South Hadley native won Connecticut Open to qualify for PGA Tour Traveler’s championship.

Conor Sheary — Former UMass hockey player won Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh Penguins.

Amber Sinicrope — Amherst native won women’s national club ultimate championship with Boston-based Brute Squad.

Claudia Tajima — Amherst native won women’s national club ultimate championship with Boston-based Brute Squad.

Gabby Thomas — Florence native and Harvard sprinter finished third in the women’s 200-meter dash at outdoor NCAA championships and qualified for event final at 2016 Olympic Trials, finishing sixth.

Erin Voss — Northampton swimmer qualified for the 200-meter backstroke final at the Olympic Trials, finishing sixth.

Frank Vatrano — Former UMass hockey player was named the AHL’s Outstanding Rookie.

Richie Werenski — South Hadley native earned PGA Tour card for the first time.

Gerald Bouthilette — Former Little League coach, as well as president and coach in the Northampton Youth Soccer Association. A charter member of Northampton Country Club.

Barry Wilby — Champion of and lifelong volunteer for Easthampton sports, from the Lassie League to the high school where he coached softball.

Stan Ziomek — Grandfather of Amherst youth baseball and longtime promoter of youth athletics.
