Holyoke man faces heroin, assault weapon charges following multi-agency raid

HOLYOKE — A city resident was arrested and charged with gun and drug offenses Wednesday afternoon after local, state and federal law enforcement officers raided a residence at 822 Dwight St.

Police seized a Glock 43 with an extended magazine and a cache of illegal drugs and U.S. currency, according to a release from Holyoke police.

Angel Carrasquillo, 32, is charged with heroin trafficking (200 grams or more) and unlicensed possession of firearms, including an assault weapon, among other gun and drug offenses.

Engaged in executing the search warrant were members of the Holyoke Police Department’s Narcotics Bureau, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Hampden County Narcotics Task Force, Western Mass FBI Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department
