Grateful for coverage of Noam Chomsky lecture

I offer a grateful bow of respect to Dusty Christensen for his article about Professor Noam Chomsky’s public lecture at the Mullins Center on Thursday evening (“Chomsky ponders human survival,” April 14).

He condensed the 1½-hour presentation by an erudite public intellectual into an accurate and succinct summary that, as a person who was in attendance, I found to be a most satisfactory communication of the essential theses of the talk, sufficient to confirm what was said for those who were there and provide it to those who were not.

This may seem like basic journalism, but doing this well in such a circumstance is uncommon.
