NORTHAMPTON — A Holyoke woman is being held on $100,000 for her alleged involvement in two separate murder-for-hire plots.

Cynthia P. Coons, 50, pleaded not guilty in Northampton District Court Thursday morning to a charge of conspiracy in the first degree.

Coons allegedly conspired with two other individuals on April 6 to commit murder, according to court documents.

As part of the commonwealth’s argument for ordering bail, they allege that Coons was an “integral player in two separate murder for hire plots” and that payments had commenced, according to court documents.

A warrant was issued for her arrest on Wednesday.

Little information is available about the case as a majority of the court documents have been impounded.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for May.
