Amherst

Annie R. Ita was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Alfred University in Alfred, New York. A graduate of Amherst Regional High School, she is a sophomore in the School of Art and Design and the daughter of Paul Ita and Katherine Glatter.

Liam T. O’Connor, son of Margot and Stephen O’Connor, has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. A first-year student, he is a graduate of Amherst Regional High School.

Elijah Cartier was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Murray Davis Wan received a master’s degree in chemistry from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Chesterfield

David Pruzynski retired on Jan. 3 from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Central Western Massachusetts Health Care Systems in Northampton after 38 years of service to America.

Hadley

Kendall Jansen, class of 2021, was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Leverett

Megan Rice was named to the fall semester high honors list at Utica College in Utica, New York, where she is studying physical therapy. She is a 2017 graduate of Amherst Regional High School. Rice is a member of the Utica Volleyball Team and was the 2016 Daily Hampshire Gazette Volleyball Player of the Year.

South Deerfield

Gabrielle C. Warren was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Alfred University in Alfred, New York, where she is a senior in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and a psychology major. A graduate of Frontier Regional School, Warren is the daughter of Kevin Warren and Bernadette Bean.

Sunderland

Calvin McKemmie, son of David and Donna McKemmie, recently completed his coursework in the accelerated Bachelor of Science nursing program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. At the pinning ceremony held on Dec. 19, he received the Dean’s Clinical Scholar Award. McKemmie was also inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. He has accepted a position as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, beginning in March.
