The first of UMass’ departed men’s basketball players has found his way out of the portal.

Forward Dyondre Dominguez announced he’ll play at Arkansas State on his Instagram. The Wolves went 13-29 last season and fired head coach Mike Balado. They hired Alabama assistant Bryan Hodgson on March 22.

Dominguez averaged 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds coming off the bench for the Minutemen. He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining.

That still leaves five UMass men in the transfer portal: Noah Fernandes, Tafara Gapare, R.J. Luis, John Kelly and T.J. Weeks Jr.
