Eversource to perform aerial patrol

Eversource will perform an aerial patrol of western Massachusetts transmission lines from Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The flyover is a routine inspection of Eversource’s power transmission infrastructure to ensure the reliability of the system and clearance from vegetation.

A blue and white helicopter with a tail number N411DD and/or a navy and silver helicopter with tail number N1431W will fly over the following towns: Agawam, Amherst, Ashfield, Becket, Belchertown, Blandford, Chicopee, Conway, Dalton, Deerfield, East Longmeadow, Easthampton, Erving, Granby, Granville, Greenfield, Hadley, Hampden, Hancock, Hinsdale, Holyoke, Lanesborough, Lee, Lenox, Leverett, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Montague, Northfield, Otis, Pelham, Peru, Pittsfield, Plainfield, Russell, Shelburne, Shutesbury, South Hadley, Southampton, Southwick, Springfield, Sunderland, Warwick, Wendell, West Springfield, Westfield, Wilbraham, and Windsor.

Flights are weather dependent, with rain dates on Aug. 21 and 22.
